Keith Madison (Baseball)

Keith Madison, the winningest coach in the history of Kentucky baseball, walked away from Kentucky in 2003 after 25 seasons and 737 career victories. He coached 85 players who were drafted or signed professional baseball contracts, 17 who eventually reached the major league level. Among those are current major leaguers 2006 Cy Young Award winner, Brandon Webb (Arizona), Joe Blanton (Oakland) and Scott Downs (Toronto). A native of Brownsville, KY, Madison became UK’s 22nd head baseball coach on June 7, 1978, at the young age of 26. When he left, he was the third-winningest coach in SEC history behind legends Ron Polk and Skip Bertman. In 25 seasons Madison certainly left his mark, not only on the Kentucky baseball program but also on the national college baseball scene.
On the national scene, Madison was recognized in 1995 for his knowledge, integrity and passion for college baseball at the American Baseball Coaches Association Convention when his peers elected him the organization’s fourth vice-president. He eventually served as the president in 2000. That year, he ran the national convention in Atlanta, drawing the largest turnout in history with over 3,500 in attendance. Madison has also worked with USA Baseball, serving as the national team’s pitching coach during the summer of 1999. Coach Madison was honored in 2005 by being inducted into the inaugural class of the University of Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame. In 2006, he was inducted into the Kentucky High School Baseball Hall of Fame; and in 2007, he joined an elite group of coaches as he was inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
After a successful coaching career, Madison spent almost two years working in the University of Kentucky Development Office as a Major Gift Officer. After a brief stint with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Madison became the National Director for Baseball with SCORE International. Through "SCORE" he sends bimonthly motivational and devotional messages to almost 1,000 coaches and also recruits coaches and athletes to join him on short term baseball/mission trips to the Dominican Republic. In November of 2007, Coach Madison helped to lead 160 coaches, professional baseball players and businessmen on a trip to the Dominican Republic where they conducted free clinics to over 10,000 young Dominican baseball players.
Terry Howard (Men's Basketball)

As founder and owner of CoachRecruiters.com, Terry has years of experience in the sports industry as a player, Coach and businessman. Terry is a former University of Louisville basketball player who played under Hall of Fame coach Denny Crum. He is a Louisville KY native with experience and success in athletics, business management, and sports facility management, as well as team and individual instruction. He also has expertise in marketing, promotion, advertising and sales with companies such as Reebok, Baden Sports, DirecTV, and Pepsi. Terry was a partner in the Basketball Academy in Louisville, which enables our youth to learn the fundamentals and skills of all sports in a safe environment. Terry founded a High School Sports Magazine that helps our Youth receive much needed recognition and exposure. He helps our youth appreciate the game of basketball through years of experience in basketball as a player and as a coach. Terry was a KY All-State basketball player, KY All-Star, MVP in the Hawaii Rainbow Classic, Number 1 free throw shooter in a season - 96.5% and played in the NIT, NCAA Final Four, NBA and International basketball in South America. Terry enjoys working with and wants the youth, coaches, athletic directors and schools to Expect to Win in athletics, academics and in the Game of Life!
Charlie Wallace (Sports Training, Strength and Conditioning)

Charlie Wallace, a native of Louisville and former all-state high school football player, is a recognized fitness center developer and personal trainer that has been in the business since 1992. Charlie was one of the original founders of Orthopedic Sports and Fitness. Charlie was the managing partner June 2003 through December 2005. During that time he developed a very successful sports enhancement program. Charlie has trained athletes of all shapes, sizes, and levels of ability, from athletes in middle school to players in the professional ranks. Charlie’s focus has always been on instruction and motivation to help each athlete maximize results. In just over 2 years, fifteen of the athletes he trained received athletic scholarships in men’s and/or women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis as well as baseball and golf.
Charlie was the strength and conditioning coach for St. Louis University’s men’s basketball program. He worked with coaches Charlie Spoonhour (’95 – ’99), and Lorenzo Romar (’99 – ’00). During that span the well conditioned men’s program made two trips to the NCAA Tournament.
Steve Small (Women’s Basketball)

Steve Small has spent over 29 years in education and in the coaching profession that took him from Mount Washington Junior High to head coach of the Western Kentucky University (WKU) Lady Hilltoppers, Steve retired from coaching in 2001. While at WKU, Steve served as assistant coach, assistant head coach and assumed the head coaching position from 1997 to 2001. During his tenure at WKU, the overall record was 410 - 168 with 15 trips out of 17 years to the NCAA's Big Dance. Steve has been involved in three Final Fours with one trip to the National Championship game in 1992 versus Stanford. As head coach, Steve's record was 89-39 and his chargers made two NCAA appearances and one NIT post-season tournament.
